Adjacent to Robins Air Force Base, the museum is a local, state, and national treasure. It not only offers a good dose of Air Force history, but also educational activities for our community’s youth.

About the Museum of Aviation
The Museum, located on 51 acres next to Robins Air Force Base. It opened in 1984 with 20 aircraft on display outdoors and an additional 20 in restoration.
Today, the Museum is the second largest aviation museum in the U.S. Air Force and the fourth most visited museum in the Department of Defense.
“The Museum is a place that honors our veterans and their families and reminds our Airmen of their legendary Air Force heritage,” according to the Museum’s website.
The Museum consists of four sections with more than 85 historic aircraft, missiles, cockpits, and award-winning exhibits.
It is also the home of the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame, which is located on the second floor of its Century of Flight Hanger.
The Museum of Aviation Education Center
The National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Academy is a program of the Museum of Aviation Foundation. It offers field trips and individual programs for school-aged youth.
“Rigorous, goal-setting experiences challenge participants to solve problems and are aligned to state and national education standards,” according to the Museum’s website.
Founded in 1989, STARBASE Robins was created to respond to the needs of youth by teaching goal setting skills and stimulating hands-on math and science activities in local schools through in-school and after-school programming.

Donations made to the Museum from the bank go towards growing its world-class STEM based programming as well as its restoration efforts that preserve the country’s military history.
The Museum of Aviation is located at 1942 Heritage Blvd, Robins AFB, in Warner Robins, Georgia.

The facility is open Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 until 4 p.m.
